You’ve just bought your Titleist 915 D2 driver. The club features an array of adjustable technology. But how do you adjust the driver to suit your ball flight?
Just loosen the screw and give a twist, right? Actually, that’s not pretty far off. But we do have a few suggestions. Adjusting this driver is really easy. You just have to follow a few simple steps.
Step 1: Loosen the Screw on Top of the Club Head
To change the settings on the SureFit Tour Hosel, you must first loosen the screw on top of the club head.
*When loosening or tightening the screw, the SureFit Tour wrench must always be in straight alignment with the shaft.
Hold the club straight-up with the end of the grip on the ground. Insert the tip of the wrench into the screw located in the hosel of the club. Then turn the wrench counter-clockwise until the screw loosens enough to allow the rotation of the sleeve.
*Do not fully remove the screw – only loosen it 4 full turns.
Step 2: Adjust the SureFit Tour Hosel
There is a sleeve and a ring on the SureFit Tour Hosel. Each ring has four settings for a total of 16 different loft and lie combinations. (See the Performance Guide below to determine which position optimizes your ball flight.)
When you look at the Performance Guide grid, each square is a setting that changes the ball flight. The SureFit Tour Hosel comes in the standard A•1 position.
The grid is easy to read. To make the ball go higher, move up on the grid. To make the ball go lower, move down on the grid. If you want more of a fade, move right. If you want more of a draw, move left. It’s that simple.
For example, if you want to increase launch angle and hit more of a fade, you’ll want to select B•4 or C•4 on the grid.
Step 3: Tighten the Club Head
Once you’ve selected your desired setting, you must tighten the club head until the wrench “clicks”. Hold the club straight-up, position the shaft and wrench in straight alignment, and insert the wrench tip into the screw.
*Before tightening, make sure the sleeve, ring, shaft, and wrench are in straight alignment.
Tighten the screw with the wrench until it “clicks”. This indicates that the proper torque has been applied. Be sure to check that the sleeve, ring, and head all fit together securely.
Ta-daa! That’s all there is to adjusting the Titleist 915 D2 driver. I bet you never knew it would be so simple.
